Review:
This was a pretty exciting and mystifying thriller from the Hammer company. I wasn't ever really interested in Sherlock Holmes, but when the story is as good as this one and Sherlock is played by Mr. Cushing it's hard to resist! It's definitely wordy and you have to pay close attention, but it's all about the details and I assure you that your dedication will pay off. The story starts when Sir. Charles Baskerville dies and his newphew Henry (Lee) returns to take over the estate. He hires Sherlock to investigate the death and the family curse. Apparently members of the Baskervilles are not safe going into the moores at night, and yes you will definitely find out why. It's all neatly wound together and it has a great ending and it's extremely well written and acted. Truly better than expected and a fun little mystery story made into a really good movie!
