Review:
I actually thought this was much better than I had anticipated even though it's far from being original. The story follows a bit of "No Blade Of Grass", "Soylent Green" and various other post-apocalyptic sci-fi stuff. In this case global warming has occurred and well winter beings in August and pollution makes it so that food is scarce. We meet up with a family that has realized they have to kill their pet cow for food, the daughter tries to run away with it to set it free, but on the way she is met with some rogues that shoot the damned thing right in front of the kid! Then they meet an old man and his son scavaging food to feed their sickly child, they take pity but well things don't exactly turn out for the best (I dare not ruin the surprise). It's actually quite startling truthfully. Anyhow we just really are in the middle of watching everyone try to survive and although it doesn't have the budget of most of the similar films it's still rather striking and memorable and I'd say it definitely deserves a DVD release and an audience!
