Review:
A relatively interesting take on the whole vampire thing. A very strict man (Cushing) who's hobbies are burning witches (or any beautiful young woman who lives alone and refuses a husband) and being really strict takes in twin nieces when their parents die. He doesn't approve of the way they dress...but could they truly be evil? One sister definitely seems to be more evil as the other as she insists on visiting Count Karnstein...who just happens to turn her into a vampire. How will her Uncle deal? How about her twin sister? The outfits are very revealing and there is definite nudity for those who are lusting after the gorgeous twins, but that didn't do anything for me really. At least it didn't take away from the plot at any time. This definitely has some nice beheadings and violence and all of that good stuff...even witch burning! This was a fun little Hammer film that I think most could enjoy, it's just not their best offering is all!
