Review:
Haha, well I think I owe some explination after giving one of the worst films I've ever seen a decent rating. Now this was one of those rare cases where a film was so hilariously bad that it actually passed bad and went back to good. Firstly it's a Nick Cage overdose, he's acting as Nicholasy as he possibly can and saying some really stupid things. Now if you've seen the original, you know the story is a rather dry erotic and bizarre tale. I get the feeling this director only read the synopsis of the original and never actually saw the film because the sentiment here is entirely wrong. Nick who is sort of like a Robocop type character (only not so powerful of course) who is called to a Feminist commune (yeah you read that correctly) to investigate the disappearance of a young girl. Well he continually has flashbacks of an accident he saw earlier which is pretty funny. Even more hilarious is watching him karate kick a girl...seriously! He hits girls, he throws them, it's a laugh riot! He also parades around in a bear suit, forces someone off a bicycle and several other stupid action movie moves that are so dumb you can't believe they are happening! I was expecting a simply terrible remake but instead I got to see this awesomely misinterpreted comedy, so at least I was far from disappointed, if you do want a serious horror movie stay far away though, this is anything but!
