Review:
I had to see this one because it's not only a video nasty but on the back of the case it claims that fans were outraged when this was taken off the market as it was more popular than "Poltergeist" at the time (which is clearly bull but what a write up!). My first impression was "wow this is cheap", and my second was "what bad acting" so not off to a good start. Some girls on their way to a jazz festival crash their car and end up being taken in at this old mansion (bad idea am I right?). Any how it ends up that the family who own the mansion are pretty much stern ladies who don't like men very much at all. They seem to be hyper critical of the girls and they claim they don't have a phone and won't let the girls leave to get help (of course something more is going on there). It's fairly dull up until the super exciting ending which is surprising and bloody and it really makes the film worth the bother. It's not as good as I'd hoped it would be but there is something there for the patient folks!
Availability: On DVD (but OOP)
