Review:
If you want a groovy psychedelic film that has continually fascinating and bizarre sets and things going on, and tons of mostly naked Jane Fonda than you'll love this. Firstly I think she has the coolest spaceship I've ever seen (shag carpeting everywhere), and her wardrobe is well gratuitous to say the least, but it's far out too! The story is a little well uncertain, but I hardly think that's the point. She's been sent on a mission to find Duran Duran, but her ship breaks down and she ends up on another planet. Later on she gets captured and tortured by being overly sexually stimulated by a sex organ/keyboard thing? Yeah the whole thing is filled with "I can't believe it's happening" moments, yet because of this it's always interesting. I think my favorite part was watching a sting-ray type creature pulling a sled...what the frig right? I'm not usually one for sci-fi but since this has all the class of a Russ Meyer film, it's plenty amusing even for the likes of me. I think my critisizm would be that it could have tried a little more with the whole plot thing, but heck I was happy with it even though I'm still not entirely sure what transpired. Definitely a swingin' lost classic for those who like Jane Fonda and shag carpeting!
