Review:
Following "Night Of The Living Dead" is a pretty tough task but this more than lives up to all expectations. This has the reputation as one of the best zombie films of all time, and it is, in fact I do prefer it to the original "Night Of The Living Dead". Instead of just throwing together a bunch of zombies and waiting for the slaughter this actually has a back story, character development and it's actually quite intense and even thrilling most of the time. I must throw in that the remake to this one is actually quite good too surprisingly, but this is THE zombie film to watch! This time around the zombies are taking over and two members of the SWAT team along with some folks from the television station end up seeking refuge in a shopping mall. This isn't nearly as easy as anticipated though and we are treated to plenty of gory zombie attacks and some frightening suspenseful moments. It still has that claustrophobic feel the first one had, only on a bigger scale, plus there are so many resources in the mall...it's a fantastic idea! This has to be one of the best sequels of any film ever and heck it does have something to please anyone including a sense of humor. Your horror collection isn't complete until you've gotten this one! I'd recommend it to anyone who even wanted to try out the horror genre, a rare example how things should be done.
