Review:
For whatever reason I actually liked this one better as a kid which is strange because it is rather slow moving and entirely plot driven. Don't expect blood really, nor gore, nor extreme scares or anything of that nature. It's actually sort of situationally creepy, but that's the best it has to offer. Actually this quite reminded me of "Whatever Happened To Baby Jane" only not nearly as fantastic. The stories aren't identical or anything, Mary Steenburgen goes to an audition (she's an actress) to replace an actress who died who looks a lot like her. She gets the part but what she doesn't know is that she is been taken prisoner by a madman rather than preparing for a choice role. Once it got going it became sort of intense and claustrophobic feeling, and you want to see her escape so the story is interesting at least. It's just a shame they couldn't have thrown a little more at it, and a few more scares in there to make it a bit better. Still if this is on cable or something and you have that movie urge this will do nicely providing you are patient with it.
