Review:
Sci-fi usually wasn't my thing at the time I watched this admittedly, so I did put up a bit of a fight about watching this I think. I did find that it was highly entertaining, I thought the Alien itself was well made and genuinely looked evil. The story is that a mining ship goes to another planet to investigate an SOS call, and they find a heck of a lot more than they bargained for. I think the idea of being trapped in space with this unbeatable evil alien is actually very creepy and all in all I totally see why this is considered a classic and really should be watched by all. It doesn't contain a ton of blood, but it didn't need it, this is more psychological and and well put together. It's also high octane, really intense and unpredictable, definitely a classic in every way as you'll be hard pressed to forget any of this film. Sigourney Weaver is the ultimate alien-butt kicking vixen, and well everyone does a great job! It's nearly impossible to dislike, in fact I think it's one of the best horror films of all time.
