Review:
This was quite a surprise as it's definitely the best horror anthology I've ever seen. The cast is top notch and the stories are fantastic, plus they all wrap together in a tidy little package and it's a bit of a shocker too. The atmosphere is rather that of a more sophisticated version of Tales From The Crypt (the tv series) but this is more clever of course. We meet a young shrink who shows up at an old asylum seeking a job. In order to get the job he's told to find out which patient is pretending to be someone else. He goes up and talks to the patients and each has an amusing tale of why they are there. One person hates his wife so he chops her up with an axe, but she returns for revenge (and it's awesome). Another is about a tailor who is commissioned to make a rather bizarre suit (and what a suit it is). The third is about a woman who thinks her brother is conspiring against her because her friend isn't welcome. Also we meet a man who builds tiny robots with human like heads that come to life. Each story is most definitely rewarding and entertaining and I'm surprised this doesn't have a higher level of popularity. Definitely recommended!
