Review:
Some hip young Asians are having a boat party when their boat crashes on a peculiar island. Food supplies are at a low so they begin eating fungus on the island. The fungus isn't exactly defenseless though, it starts to transform folks...into mushrooms!!! Oh it's absolutely beautifully shot, and I can't stress that enough. Just watching it for the scenery is enough, it's obviously got a high budget and it was very well filmed. The colors are fantastic, the effects are reasonable considering, it's actually just a heck of a lot of fun. The story is a little silly, and nothing is totally explained that I remember, and it is nearly bloodless but still worth it for it's far from boring. I haven't seen many like this, but I would definitely be willing to delve into the Asian "attack" films if they are half as good as this one!
