Review:
Oh my gosh...this is absolutely one of the best films I've ever seen. I should warn you if you are looking for the usual blood and guts style of horror this may not be what you are after. This is a surreal, genuinely creepy and unsettling tale that has many twists and turns. The ending is seriously shocking and perfect, the plot is so well assembled that it kept me hanging on the edge of my seat with my mouth agape. The story is about a grown man who still acts like a baby, sleeps in a crib and is incapable of most things. His family is extremely strange, his cruel seeming Mother, and his two mentally unsound sisters. We meet up with a caseworker who is there to look at "the baby" (as he doesn't even have a real name) and starts to realize that he's capable of a whole lot more than the family seems to allow for. As soon as you think you've got this one figured out you probably don't...or at least I didn't. That being said it's very psychological but at the same time there is a bit of blood and murder and all of that stuff too so it truly shouldn't disappoint anyone. This is an extremely welcome surprise, unfortunately it's not the easiest film to come by and there are several that go by this title so make sure you find the version from '73. Just make sure you do grab this, I cannot recommend this more highly I swear it's amazing!
