Review:
Another nice classy picture from Val Lewton! This one especially would have been hard to give class to considering the subject manner. This has absolutely nothing to do with the "Invasion Of The Body Snatchers" first of all, nothing at all. This macabre tale is about some scientists who need corpses to practice on. We meet a charming young Doctor who is the assistant for a more disturbed seeming scientist. They pay a helper to go get them bodies (Karloff) but sometimes when there aren't any in supply drastic measures must be taken. Of course the kind Doctor gets roped into this with the promise of helping a young girl who lost her ability to walk in an accident. It's all nicely put together and lovingly shot, if you want gratuity this won't satisfy, but for a nice story with great acting and a sense of humor this is a pretty fun time.
