Review:
What to say with this one...well if you don't like the red stuff, you aren't going to like this film. It is EXTREMELY bloody, I mean EXTREMELY as in I think it has more blood than any other film I've seen. It's not the most realistic looking flick so I can't say "goriest film ever" or any of that other nonsense you'll hear from some folks. This is definitely one of the most well known squirt-fests, although I find I'm constantly having to make friends watch it...but they always have a good time. Lionel is a mama's boy, mama is a controlling harpie (no not literally). Lionel meets a young lady and takes her to the zoo (against his mothers wishes) so she goes and spies on the date. Meanwhile this ugly ratmonkey thing bites her and gives her zombism. Lionel isn't sure what to do so he locks mommy in the basement (but not before she bites a nurse). Well the carnage keeps going and soon Lionel is housing an entire family of these things. Trying to hide the zombies (who are hysterical and dirty), keep his lady by his side and keep the outside world at bay isn't quite working so drastic action has to be taken. There is a huge scene involving a party full of zombies and a lawnmower, possibly the grossest pudding eating scene ever and so many other things that you'll remember after watching this classic. Really over the top but non-stop entertaining, and a big classic of the genre. Highly recommended to any and all (providing you don't have like a turbo weak stomach). I've got to say, I like this more than Lord Of The Rings!
