Review:
I was honestly expecting something different here too as this isn't a "demon" movie so much is it is about zombie like creatures. I'd also had my concerns that this was to be a racially erm inappropriate film, but actually I don't really think it is. The zombies were actually more frightening than in many of the Italian films in particular, likely because they sort of stand just out of site and sneak up on folks, that and the effects and sheer size of the zombies is pretty scary. Anyhow what has actually happened is that some dude goes to a voodoo ceremony and drinks the blood of something (I think) and gets possessed by the forces (I think). Anyhow he continues on an excursion with his sister and her boyfriend and they end up at the house of this couple and their maid (who happens to have black magic too). Anyhow they think the maid is responsible for the voodoo activity, so they dismiss her but really it's been the brother who unwittingly raised some African-American demons who are seeking revenge because they were enslaved. There is some gore, mainly because the zombies poke out an eye of most of the victims. So most fans of Ital zombie films should get something out of this, but it's not exactly hilarious like some of them are, in fact it's made pretty humorlessly. Still it's easy enough to watch, and although it's far from a must see it's still pretty entertaining.
