Review:
This was actually rather surprisingly shocking and it went several places I didn't expect at all. This film was made by the Tigon company which is sort of a knock off of Amicus which is sort of a knock off of Hammer, but anyhow... It's basically very low budget but extremely atmospheric, shocking, and well made considering. The story is set in the 17th century where we meet a family who's son has brought home his new girlfriend. Mom and Dad don't seem to like her much, and they stick her in the freaky attic. She goes insane and is institutionalized without much explanation. Then strange satanic things like hooves start appearing and we know something strange is going on in the town. The gorgeous Angel Drake (who is a teen I guess) seems to be the demonic ringleader in a cult of satan where most of the children are followers. It's got sleaze, nudity, blood and it's spooky and interesting, I'm not sure what more one could ask for but it's certainly worth watching. Some patience is required for it takes a bit of time to sort of get going, but it will definitely pay off, I guarantee it!
