Review:
A travelling magician comes to town at the same time some murders are happening. Who is responsible? Could a psychic prediction be a brilliant prophecy or could it be the warning of a murderer? The scenery is really dark and ominous, even though this is from 1920, they've mastered that sort of gothic cinematogrophy which gives it a horror atmosphere. Admittedly this is a bit slow moving, but consider that it's one of the first horror flicks and it's actually surprisingly effective. I think if you are going to delve back in time to see where things began, then you simply must watch this, but if you like fast-paced hollywood horror then this may bore you to tears.
