Review:
Well with Englund at the helm I thought it had serious potential. What I forgot is that Englund is an actor....and not just a cartoon character...anyhow. Even for a late '80s slasher style film this is largely unsatisfying, it's strange how you can have all the right ingredients for a movie yet somehow end up with something pretty lifeless. Still it does pretty much deliver exactly what the box promised in a made-for-tv quality kind of way. As the story goes, people dial the number in the title for their "horrorscope", and they turn into killers with powers. From there the characters get revenge on those who've wronged them (cough cough Carrie what?). It does manage to have a few good deaths but still remain entirely in the realm of the obvious. Let's see, give a nerd power and what would happen...while you ponder that I shall go on to another review.
