Review:
This is definitely one of the only horror movies to have actually touched me, but there it is, it's touching. Don't avoid on that grounds though for really it's just a continuation of the first movie. See Frankenstein didn't really die, he was blown away and on the loose. He ends up at the home of a blind man (who I now love to pieces) who takes him in and looks after him. He is recaptured though and placed back in the care of his creator. Frankenstein's Monster is desperate for a friend though (he's learned to talk some), and Frankenstein's creator just happened to be propositioned to make a new monster by another scientist. Frankenstein's Monster forces them to put the pedal to the metal and make a new friend, and really the "Bride" only appears in the last few minutes of the film, but what a frickin' awesome character! It's another dark tale with tragedy, morality and humanity. It's definitely one of the best films I've ever seen and I even like it a touch more than the original Frankenstein. This is a must see for any film lover, I feel like an idiot for putting it off for so long. It's fantastically atmospheric, the characters are lush and three-dimensional...this is a huge winner!
