Review:
Wowsa, I've never seen a giallo like this one! It's psychedelic, freaky and altogether bizarre but all in a good way. It doesn't feel like a Fulci film at all, it's very surreal and claustrophobic feeling and he does a marvelous job so kudos to Fulci for being such a renaissance man! We meet the intense Carol (Bolkan) who seems to be having LSD freakout style nightmares filled with naked orgies and demonic stuff and even a stabbing! Making matters worse is that she witnesses her neighbor being stabbed in her dream, but when it happens in reality could she be a witness? Could she be psychic? It's a real twisty and curvy mystery but rest assured, ride it out, enjoy it and it will come together in a very satisfying manner. There are a few bodies by the end (the blood and imagery are nightmarish and cool) so horror fans should enjoy, there's probably enough nudity in the beginning that it almost classifies as a softcore porn so if you like that sorta thing you'll be happy too. The mystery is a good one and it kept me guessing and the camera work is really freakin' cool! Very interesting and stylized take on this style of film, not one I'll be forgetting!
