Review:
What an innovative and interesting concept for a film. Although this was done by Micheal Crichton, I'd never heard of this one until my Husband showed it to me. It was one heck of a violent and intense ride. If you know nothing of it, if you've seen the Simpsons where the Itchy and Scratchy robots at the theme park start attacking, then you need to see this. It's about an amusement park for rich people. First you select the land you'd like to live in (like Rome, Western times, Medieval times etc), then you spend a few days in an authentic environment. The others are fellow vacationers and robots programmed to be shot and used as sex toys for the amusement of the patrons. Something goes wrong with the robots and some sort of virus infects them causing them to act on their own...and they aren't that nice! Yul was fantastic as the evil robot cowboy who was shot two times by one fellow and never forgot. A huge chase scene ensues as the methodic evil Yul tries to pay the tourist back...with interest! It's really a great picture that I'd recommend to most anyone, Yul love it! (sorry couldn't resist)
