Review:
This one kinda reminded me of "Blood On Satan's Claw" in several ways, only this is less exciting and perverse. It's about an English teacher who was in Africa who suffers a nervous breakdown. She gets better and accepts a teaching job in a small strange little town. She starts to notice something is strange with two of her students, one is exceedingly bright, and the other is still playing with dolls even though she seems too old. As the teacher starts investigating she begins to suspect some sort of witchery going on, but will she find the truth out before they destroy her? It's actually rather interesting because although you can kinda guess who is evil, you can't quite be sure what they are up to most of the time. It's just too bad the ending isn't exactly rewarding and it leaves more questions than it actually answers. The acting is pretty darned good, especially the teacher character and there are a few intense scenes at least. Still not a bad little Hammer picture, just now one of their best I'm afraid.
