Review:
We finally got a Blu-ray player, and this is the first Blu-ray disc we bought. We were holding out on seeing this until we could see it in high def, and were we ever right to do so, it looked incredible! To be honest I wasn't all that interested in this movie going in, but it definitely impressed me all around. This time Maggie Gyllenhaal plays the role of Rachel (played by Holmes in "Batman Begins" of course) but I think the other characters are mainly played by the same people. In this story the Joker is the big problem, he's killing off people left and right and scheming to take over Gotham city! When half of Harvey's face is destroyed in a fire (Batman could only chose to save him or his girlfriend Rachel) he starts to turn to the darkside as well! It's an action filled visual masterpiece and it was the perfect movie to test out a Blu-ray player. I may not be a huge fan of the Batman franchise, but this was one remarkable movie just the same!
