Review:
I refuse to try to make sense of this, but rather I'll try to tell you what to expect. I couldn't categorize this as anything but surreal from the second two identical looking naked women shave their heads while a dude in a white suit and novelty oversize hat stands between them. The set looks like some sort of combo of Kubrick, "The Wizard of Oz", and god anything else that is just plain insane. There does appear to be a religious theme here, but basically this guy just wanders around witnessing one bizarre thing to another. Jodorowsky stages things that one would never expect to ever see in film and manages to make this hypnotically exciting but just don't expect a film like you've ever seen before. Don't go into this expecting to make sense of it or understand it, just sit back and be amazed at the visuals in this one, there is always something fascinating going on and it's often grotesque as well. One of my favorites but describing it isn't something I think I can really do, see for yourself and be astonished!
