Review:
I actually think this one is perhaps a little more highly regarded than actually deserved mainly because it's quite boring. See the first half of the film is boring talking and learning that the film's female character is a brain dead idiot. I'm not just complaining to be some monster, and I usually don't complain about stupid characters but seriously this was ridiculous. Anyhow the basic plot is that they are flying around when they land in some warmer unknown land where dinosaurs still roam. They also encounter primitive man and some gilla monsters (which are definitely the best part of the movie). As far as their dino portrayal goes, the water dinosaur (that looks loch nessy) was rather well done and almost frightening, but the t-rex is incredibly silly looking and clearly a guy in a costume with a paper mache style head. Actually the scene with the gilla monsters fighting is quite intense and I was impressed but the rest of the movie left me entirely cold and annoyed. One of those sci-fi movies for folks who've seen every other sci-fi movie and are looking for something else to watch.
