Review:
Yet another film I unfairly judged on it's cover art and therefore wouldn't watch until just recently. This is actually one of the best horror films I've seen so I've actually been inadvertently punishing myself or something. The effects are great, the blending of sci-fi, horror and comedy is in perfect form and one never knows what is coming next which makes this even more fun. The story is about a slightly odd Medical student, his roomie and his girlfriend who happen to hold the secret to reanimating the dead. Of course things don't go to plan and soon we have awesome zombie mayhem! This definitely has a horror spin, some logic and of course plenty of garish and awesome gore and blood so it should please most. The story is definitely the best Lovecraft tale I've come across and it's even Gordon's best as well, so if you've considered any film from either, go for this! It actually reminds me of "Return Of The Living Dead" the stylish way it's written, and it's a good thing this is a trilogy because this story is actually so much fun it feels like it's over before it's time. This should have something for anyone, and tons of it so if you are being a stubborn loser like me give it up and enjoy this one, it's more than easy to do!
