Review:
Yay this was a great movie! So I've only really seen "Plan 9 From Outer Space" from Ed Wood, but that didn't stop this from being a hugely entertaining film. Depp is hilarious and perfect as the resourceful yet inept Wood in this inside behind the scenes view. From what I gather it's mostly realistic, yet at the same time some of it isn't quite true. We learn about his encounter with Bela Lugosi, his love of angora sweaters, and his wacky ideas. It really does throw you back to the 50's and show you hilariously what was happening with B-movie makers. Not only is it funny, it's a bit touching, it's strange and it's entirely captivating. I've only seen it once but I'm definitely going to be a frequent customer as this is one of the best comedy/bio-picks I've ever seen. Something to offer anyone and no it won't matter if you even know anything about Wood to start with!
