Review:
I love John Waters (how many reviews I start out with this is ridiculous). I've read all of his books, listened to all of his commentaries, watched a DVD of his stand-up and of course seen this film. This film is highly informative and hilarious, particularly the scenes where they talk to John's Parents, and the film censor who hates him. It does repeat a lot of the material I already know which made it slightly less entertaining, but for someone who hasn't studied him you'll probably learn a lot and have a heck of a lot of laughs. It's unfortunate that this doesn't better cover his film career past "Pink Flamingos" but that being said there is quite a behind the scenes look at the making of that film, so that should definitely interest many. There is even an interview with the guy who played the "singing asshole" in the movie. It's clear this documentary was made by a friend who has been around Waters for many many years and that makes it all the more special.
