Review:
It's nice to see that even Universal pictures that are relatively late in the Frankenstein chain are still pretty fantastic and easy to watch. This one does follow Son Of Frankenstein and it is a continuation of sorts. I'm not quite sure why but Igor didn't die last time, and he found Frankenstein's monster in a pile of sulfer and dug him out. Apparently Dr. Frankenstein's son has a brother who is the lead in this one. The biggest complaint is that the fellow who plays The Frankenstein Son's Brother looks very much like the Mad Scientist Doctor Bohmer, and it's hard to tell who is who in some scenes. Although we have a different fellow playing Frankenstein's monster this time (Lon Chaney Jr. this time) the make up is still quite good. The story is that Frankenstein's monsters' brains are scrambled and he needs Frankenstein's son's brother to help him (along with Dr. Bohmer). The monster wants the brain of a small girl he met, but Igor wants to have his brain implanted in the monster forever! Who will win? What will the townspeople do? It's a short little film definitely still in the tradition of the first bunch and it's a joy to watch.
