Review:
This is a goodie, and along with the Elm street series it's the greatest contribution from Craven. The story is about a family who's trailer breaks down in the middle of a closed air testing site in the desert. Well, they aren't exactly alone as there are inbred deranged weirdos living in the hills near a nuclear testing site. It's a great idea and the execution makes it seem real even though let's face it, it's far fetched. Still there is some sort of realism captured here (and sadly missed by the remake) that made this feel creepy. There is tension, gore, surprises and it's definitely a worthwhile venture for just about any horror fan. If you want to see some deranged folks and a bunch of chasing and excitement this is one of the best!
