Review:
This is an odd little film courtesy of Mr. Pete Walker. It's got a stacked cast, Vincent Price, Christopher Lee, Desi Arnaz Jr., Peter Cushing, John Carradine and even Sheila Keith turns up in this one! It's about an author who makes a bet that he can write a classic novel in 24 hours, and he has to stay at a haunted house to do so. Of course most of the horror greats turn up in this, and well it's pretty darned fun to watch. It does have several nice jokes and watching Christopher Lee call Vincent Price a "bitch" is nearly worth watching alone. The story has many plot twists and turns, and although it is too long and drags a bit it's definitely worth the time. It also does deliver some red stuff, but some people will not be satisfied with this because of the ending. It's pretty fun but not amazing, definitely better than the availability of the darned thing (not on dvd).
