Review:
For starters, I don't love the original, I think it's pretty good but not that exceptional. This remake really is far less exceptional and rather pointless. The story which you likely already know is about a millionaire who offers six unrelated strangers the chance to make 1,000,000 just by staying overnight in a haunted house. Of course everyone thinks this sounds like a great get rich scheme...that is until they start being bothered by ghosts! Oh did I mention that this haunted house used to be an insane asylum!!! So anyhow I found this time around the characters were quite unlikeable and the ghosts couldn't annoy them fast enough for my tastes. Just a whole lotta build up with a tiny bit of release! Watch the original instead, and even if you adore it you still may want to skip this rather half-assed effort.
