Wow, now this is one screwed up film, I mean I don't really know many like this one. It's definitely disturbing, but perhaps not in the way you are expecting. The story is about an intelligent seemingly well adjusted woman named Esther. She goes to a party and while outside she cuts a chunk out of her body on a fence. Instead of going straight home to look after the wound she wanders around until someone tells her she's bleeding. From there she becomes obsessed with her wound (I think the idea is that she sees herself as nothing more than meat). Although she has a boyfriend begging her not to and a good job she can't resist cutting herself. Of course the mutilation goes further and further and it gets more bizarre. She becomes addicted to this disgusting habit and it costs her everything! It's a very hard to watch film that I couldn't look away from no matter how creepy it got. They don't make many like this one, that I'll admit!
