Review:
This one is the sleazy Italian take on "Creature From The Black Lagoon". Right away I expect you are either ready to turn away from this or are immensely interested...I was definitely the second of the two options. The film itself is well a big rip-off, but it's so silly and strange that it's hard to resist. The story here is that a Scientist and his Daughter and a Landowner and they don't take kindly to trespassers! The scientist is being made to create a race of fishmen for the landowner and the reasoning is bizarre. See they want to get at some treasure deep underwater, so instead of making some fancy scuba-gear, they've created a new and dangerous species! The fishmen themselves are rubber masked people with little effort put into it and scares are basically nil. Still I was pretty entertained from start to finish and it was nicely shot! Not a classic but a curiosity for those who dare!
