Review:
This was one hell of a movie, surprisingly awesome and it would be one of the best I'd seen if it weren't for the unsatisfying ending. Our story is about a young boy who has been sent away because he has every mental order known to mankind. We meet with his family and the nanny who are preparing for his return, only his Mother seems to not want him to come back. When we meet him we learn he's an intelligent and seemingly disturbed young man as he is cruel to the Nanny. Soon things get weirder as he insists that she not come in the bathroom when he's bathing, and he's convinced she's going to poison him. Is there any truth in his fear? It was fantastically gripping and the child actor William Dix is the best I've seen as I actually really seriously liked the kid. Fantastic story, easy to watch and really uncertain for a long while, it's just too bad they couldn't have ended it more rewardingly. Definitely a must see from the Hammer folks!
