Review:
Definitely one of the better '70s thrillers I've come across but mostly due to lovely cinematography from Mr. Eastwood, and the psychoticness of Jessica Walter's character. It's about a radio DJ Dave (Eastwood) who has a fan who always requests "Misty" on his radio show. They meet and he has well relations with Evelyn (Walter) but then realizes that he misses his previous girlfriend and tries to reconnect with her. Only trouble is that Evelyn doesn't seem to take subtile hints, obvious hints or even direct orders. She's determined to be with DJ Dave no matter what and the more she's stopped the crazier she seems to get. It's a pretty intense and fascinating crazed fan sort of flick and it would possibly be even better except for a few small things. The few small things I'm referring to are the soundtrack, and the romantic interlude that seems to go on way to long. They manage to get in two crappy long music sequences in a row just as things have gotten exciting and it really takes the tension down unfortunately. Other than that though it's exciting, original and actually a really fantastic thriller that deserves to be seen, but possibly not heard.
