Review:
A couple with a small boy move into an abandoned hotel to become caretakers. Thing is, something is wrong with this hotel and begins to take control of Torrance (Nicholson). Soon instead of trying to protect his family, he's trying to kill them. The visuals in this are eerie, freaky and one of a kind and unforgettable. The acting is also remarkable and well near perfection. Sure it doesn't entirely capture the horrors that King's book lays down but it comes pretty darned close. Watching this it's shocking to think that King wasn't happy with this adaptation when it's one of the coolest horror films in history! In other words definitely watch this one, it's atmospheric, creepy and awesome it's a must see! Definitely one of the best ghost stories out there!
