Review:
It's hard to believe that after the fantastic start to this series that first sequel would be so terrible, but it simply is. Firstly the first 40 minutes of the movie is a long drawn out recap of what happened in the first movie (with most of the violence cut out). In fact in the liner notes for the DVD I learned that guy who made this had children between the first one and this one so they intentionally made this one practically violence free. Anyhoo...as the first one left off the Santa killer was of course shot down. This one takes place from the viewpoint of the baby brother that was in the car at the time of the accident (that was never again mentioned in the first film). His brother Ricky is a terrible actor let me just say, and also what a stupid way to make a tie-in movie, but I guess with a dead lead character they had to think of something. Ricky is of course bitter and goes out to exact revenge with a few fun little deaths towards the end, but it's simply not enough to excuse the amount of recycling, cheap budget and bad acting. Although it's not the worst thing I've seen I definitely would have to say that this is one lazy and dull experience!
