Review:
Definitely one of the most action packed and intense sci-fi films from the '70s that I've found as of yet. I honestly think this is scarier and better than the original although it's definitely very similar. Donald Sutherland is fantastic as Matthew, a fellow who's friends start complaining that their relatives aren't right. Sure they look the same and even say similar things, but the emotional disconnect is simply wrong. Rather than assuming they are crazy he investigates but not before he ends up in the line of danger. Alien pods have arrived and are taking over...but I dare not ruin more than that. It's seriously thrilling, it's tons of fun and it's everything you'd likely hope to find in a movie (although not overly gory). Still it makes it's point and it's impossible to forget, definitely a classic that deserves to be so.
