Review:
Wow, now this was one strange anthology! See I actually was enticed by this one because I heard it was particularly nasty and hooray because I definitely wasn't lied to on that matter. It's bloody, gross and tackles things like necrophelia, incest, and some fantastic gore! We meet Vincent Price who is in charge of records for a town, his niece (Sister Jekyll) was executed and a woman is asking him questions and that takes us to our 4 stories. The first one is about a creepy dude who lives with his sister and he just happens to have an appetite for killing and well prepare for one silly mutant. The next story is one of the best, we meet a man who was shot and left to die in the swamps but miraculously is alive. He finds himself in a shack with a man who has tons of strange stuff and spell like books around and stuff, he also learns that this man is 200 years old! It's got quite a great twist and it is a pretty darned good concept. Then next we have a story of a glass eater at a carnival who falls in love, only his "owner" who is into voodoo doesn't seem too happy. Then lastly we get a story of some evil soldiers who end up on the wrong door...some murderous children's home! Some issues here include overambition, and they throw way too much useless information about the characters at us and it doesn't really benefit in any way. Still...this story should be seen by horror buffs, I mean it's clever, gross, surprising and nasty...what more do you want?
