Review:
This is Hammer's one and only zombie movie, and it's quite a picture. It predates "Night Of The Living Dead" yet the actual zombies (when on screen) are quite similar in look. This has an entirely different zombie premise though, see this time an evil man who went to Haiti learned the secrets of reanimating the dead and as a result he controls a small town. It was shot back to back on the same sets as "The Reptile" and it even shares the two lead actresses. It's quite easy to watch although it's not quite as funny as "The Reptile" this at least offers some blood and violence. I also learned from this movie to never misdirect a group of fox hunters! It's not the best zombie movie you'll ever see but it's done with class and style yet it still packs some good punches, definitely worth a look for Hammer fans or zombie fans!
