Review:
This was really an interesting Hammer picture, rather Hitchcockian actually. It's a rather slow paced film, but it has plenty of twists and turns and everything comes together fantastically in the end. It's very nicely shot in black and white, and the acting was really very good. The plot is well hard to explain without giving anything away. We meet a young girl in a wheelchair who goes to meet her father and his girlfriend for the first time in 10 years. When she arrives, her dad is away on business and she's left with the rather nice wife. As the two get to know each other the young girl becomes frightened as she keeps seeing images of her dead father. Is she mad, or is something more sinister going on? Although it does have many twists some you will see coming, but they threw in a couple of surprises as well. It's quite the interesting film and anyone who likes tightly knit thrillers should definitely find something to love in this one.
