Review:
I must say that I wasn't the most enthusiastic movie goer here at first since it looked like a cross between Cronenberg's "Shivers", and "Night Of The Creeps", and heck I'm tired of seeing the same thing over and over. While it certainly borrows from each, it actually has a life of it's own. It's fun and bloody in a way not so different from "Braindead (Dead Alive) or "The Evil Dead" (although not as great), and more than likely it'll be a relatively popular cult film when it hits DVD. Anyhow, we have an alien organism that winds up turning a town into zombies and mutants that looks like a slug. It's actually far more entertainingly original than I can prove without you actually watching it. It has a great sense of humor and everything was well balanced and it ties together nicely in the end. It's also not afraid of being bloody and over the top which I also appreciate. Not the greatest film ever or anything, but certainly a fun way to spend an evening.
