Review:
Great concept, but it just drags on a little too much to be fantastic. Surely you know the story...the wives of the town of Stepford are perfect...too perfect. A new couple moves into the area and quickly the lady of the house discovers her husband's plot to turn her into a robotic perfect Stepford wife. This has such potential but most of the film is spent watching Joanna (Ross) adjust to the new place and really not much happens. I like that they did such a good job with character development and they did try and demonstrate how eerie it would be to feel like there is a huge conspiracy going on that you aren't a part of....yet. It just needed a little spicing up at the end of the day as this only has some good moments, but it's enough to make this an interesting view. I guess I just expected a little more from this one, definitely more of a slow moving drama with some horrific elements but don't really expect any scares here.
