Review:
Yowsa what a great anthology, thanks Amicus! Apparently this movie is based upon the comic books for "Tales From The Crypt" and "Vaults Of Horror" which is pretty darned neato. Even better is that it crams in 5 horror packed tales with a twist, every last one of them was fantastic! 5 people meet up in a vault where a guy in a robe (sorry no cryptkeeper) tells them of horrible things that could or has happened to them. The first story is rather Christmasy and involves a young Joan Collins. She murders her husband on Christmas Eve, but then she finds out that a maniac dressed as Santa is outside her door. The next story is about a cheating husband and a car accident. Then we have probably the best story and it has Peter Cushing. He's as sweet old man 2 days away from retirement who makes toys for children. A property developer tries to push him out of the neighborhood in an extremely cruel manner. Then there is a story about a wishing statue, which is like the monkey's paw...only with a cute twist. Lastly we get an exciting story of a cruel man who takes over a home for the blind. He gives them horrid conditions to live in, and when one of them dies, they start to plan their revenge! This is seriously the best anthology I've seen, and it's filled to the brim with excitement!
