Review:
So, if you like slasher films at all odds are you've seen this one, or you at least want to (and should). Of course it's loosely based on the horrific acts of serial killer Ed Gein, yet at the same time many things are different. In this film we meet with a group of friends driving around trying to find a vandalized grave of a Grandparent. They pick up a weird hitchhiker who cuts himself and one of the characters. They toss the hitchhiker out and end up stopping along the road for some gasoline. Of course nearby they meet with a family of deranged cannibals in the woods who are out to murder. The film is shot really darkly and grittily which gives it that sort of creepy shadowy look which is perfect for hiding teens and stalking cannibals. Of course the main killer is named Leatherface and he wields a chainsaw and takes care of several of the kiddies before the film is out. It's got blood, it's actually creepy and really there isn't anything I can think of to complain about here, in fact I'd say it's one of the most intense and scary movies ever made. Pure entertainment and a must watch for anyone looking for a great horror film.
